How would you like to win a breathtaking drive, in an open top car, around the Peak District National Park, including lunch with a tweed clad country gent and a scenic walk with Millie, his prize winning pedigree whippet?

All you have to do is donate £5 and you will be entered into the Prize Draw. The winner will be drawn at random on the 3rd October.

What’s this in aid of I hear you ask?

Well my good friend, Jenny Lowthrop (AKA Freelance Blogger SheGetsAround.co.uk) has been shortlisted for The Nicest Job in Britain and as part of this process has a week to raise as much money for her allocated charity ToyBox.

ToyBox is an international charity that helps street children around the world.

How did this come about?

So, after some deliberation of ways I could help Jen to raise some money, we came up with the hare brained idea to auction off a day with a country gent and his whippet.

With a few tricks up my sleeve I aim to make your day in the Peak District as enjoyable as possible. We will drive and walk around some of the beautiful landmarks of the Peaks, stop off for lunch (obviously the gentleman will pay) and grab a quick pint at a “hidden gem real ale house.’

More about Millie the Whippet…

Where ever she goes Millie (AKA Elzavera Blue Angel.. her pedigree name) is the centre of attention. As a pedigree whippet  she is admired by many. Taking here on walks can sometimes be a challenge as we regularly get stopped with people wanting to pay her attention. A recent visit to Chatsworth Country Fair saw her come away with a number of rosettes in the dog show. As you can see from the pictures, she is a stunning little hound and also loves driving around Derbyshire with the wind whistling over her beautiful blue fur coat.

More about the drive.

The days is as flexible as you want it to be and a date can be arranged that suits you. The car is only a two seater but if you want to bring someone along with you Jen has agreed to tag along behind in her not so convertible car! So that’s an option if you want to bring a friend.

What else is included?

  • Lunch at a country pub

  • A drink at a ‘hidden gem real ale pub.’

  • Flat caps and scarves will be included, but don’t worry the car has heated seats as well.

  • Musical entertainment of your choice on the journey. (All music genres can be accommodated)

More about the so called 'Country Gent'

Having lived in the Peak District all his life. Nick Andrew (AKA onicko) is a freelance flat cap and tweed-wearing marketeer. He offers businesses around Derbyshire marketing and web design assistance.

Nick decided he wanted to support Jen in her quest …

'In my totally unbiased opinion she is the only choice for The Nicest Job in Britain.'

So support a good cause and enter today to be in with a chance of winning this money can’t buy opportunity!!

Thanks and good luck,

Nick and Millie xx
